The Tree Fund is a dedicated account at PCEC, used exclusively for purchasing trees and materials, equipment and labor, managing volunteers, monitoring and conducting health checks, and providing education and outreach to help care for new trees and sustain our urban forest.
Since 2021, Livingston Loves Trees has been enhancing the diversity, equity and resilience of our community forest. With support from volunteers, local landscaping businesses, and generous donors, our collaboration has an ambitious goal: planting 1,000 new trees across Livingston within a decade. Increasing diversity ensures our urban forest remains intact and the benefit of trees remains an asset to our community.
In just four seasons, we’ve already planted 375 trees, including oaks, elms, maples, lindens, honey locusts, flowering crabapples, Japanese lilacs, and more. These trees are nurtured by over 320 households and organizations across Livingston — and the numbers keep growing!
