Since 2021, Livingston Loves Trees has been enhancing the diversity, equity and resilience of our community forest. With support from volunteers, local landscaping businesses, and generous donors, we’re working toward an ambitious goal: planting 1,000 new trees across Livingston within a decade.

Through our dedicated Tree Fund, we raise the resources needed to purchase, plant, and care for trees in boulevards, public spaces, and front yards, ensuring a greener future for everyone. In turn, Livingston residents “adopt” trees and commit to a simple care and watering schedule to ensure their survival and growth.

In just three seasons, we’ve already planted 273 trees, including oaks, elms, maples, lindens, honey locusts, flowering crabapples, Japanese lilacs, and more. These trees are nurtured by over 250 households and organizations across Livingston — and the numbers keep growing!

The Tree Fund is a dedicated account at PCEC, used exclusively for purchasing trees, planting, managing volunteers and caring for new trees. A donation of any size directly supports our efforts to diversify Livingston’s urban canopy.

Every contribution helps us plant and care for trees, ensuring they thrive for generations to come.

• Tree Partner – $50-$100: Help grow our tree fund and support ongoing planting efforts.
• Tree Supporter – $250: Contribute to the cost of purchasing a tree ($250-$350).
• Tree Sponsor – $500: Cover the cost of a large ball-and-burlap tree and planting.
• Plant It Forward – $750: Sponsor the full cost of a tree, planting, and program coordination.
• Legacy Tree Steward – $1,000: Fund a tree’s planting and long-term care, including health monitoring, reporting and mitigation for five years.
