While I know you clearly stand up for Montana's public lands, I ask that you also stand up for all American public lands.

Federal public lands across the country provide immense recreational opportunities, support critical wildlife habitats and serve as the backbone for a multi-billion dollar outdoor recreation economy.

Selling off public lands, even seemingly small percentages, would set a dangerous precedent, opening the door for further divestment of our national treasures. This could lead to a patchwork of private ownership, fragmented ecosystems, limited public access and ultimately a diminishing the very character of America's wild spaces.

I urge you to continue to champion the principle that public lands belong in public hands.
